Corning^® Universal Optical Sealing Tape

The universal optical sealing tape can be used to provide a strong seal with the Corning 96 well protein crystallization plate as well as other microplates. This tape is pressure-sensitive; pressure-sensitive tape ensures tight sealing to minimize evaporation and enables oil-free operation when used with PCR thermal cyclers with heated lids.

Key features of the sealing tape:

• High optical quality for microscope observation of protein crystals; protein crystallization
• High optical quality allows use for detection coupled with PCR systems such as quantitative real time PCR (qPCR)
• Minimal evaporation of protein well content
• Minimal cross-well contamination
• Temp. range. –70℃ to +100℃
• Compatible with aqueous solutions and organic solvents
• Sealing tape are not autoclavable
