It is expressed predominantly by T cells, fibroblasts, and endothelial cells. Interleukin-1 (IL-1), a cytokine, is a key regulator of acute and chronic inflammation. The IL-1 associated responses are achieved by association of IL-1 with IL-1 type 1 receptor (IL1R1). |
